The Central University of Kerala was established in 2009 under The Central University Act, 2009 by Indian Parliament. The university is situated in Kasaragod district, the northernmost district of the state of Kerala, India. The main campus of the university is situated at Periya. The University offers PG and Ph.D. Courses. The duration PG Programme is 2 years (4 Semesters). The programs are organized under Choice Based Credit and Semester (CBCS) pattern. All the departments of the University offer Ph.D. programmes. The University offers 11 different schools. The University shifted its Administrative wing along with the Departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, International Relations and Politics, MSW and Economics and a portion of the library into the two semi-permanent uni-floor buildings constructed on the permanent campus in 2014.

Central University of Kerala – Admission Process
The Central University of Kerala Admission will take admission in various programmes of study (PG, M.Phil. and Ph.D.) through Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2019. CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is a national level test which is conducted every year in the month of May-June. It is jointly organized by 9 universities, Rajasthan University is the conducting body of CUCET 2019.
