MGU Colleges
MGU has following four University Colleges. The list of these University Colleges is given below.
- University College of Arts & Social Sciences – The College is offering three courses in Post Graduation, i.e., MA English, MA Economics and MSW (Master of Social Work). These courses have the present relevance and highly demanded courses for the future career of the students.
- University College of Commerce & Management – The Department of Commerce & Business Management rechristened as University College of Commerce & Business Management in the year 2010. The courses that are being offered are M.Com (Two Year Course), M.B.A (Two Year Course), M.B.A (Tourism & Travel Management – Two Year Course) and M.B.A (Integrated – Five Year Course).
- University College of Engineering & Technology – University College of Engineering & Technology, Mahatma Gandhi University, Panagal was established in the year 2013. The college offers B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The college also offers courses like Master of Computer Applications(MCA). There is a yearly intake of 180 undergraduate students and 60 postgraduate students.
- University College of Science & Informatics – UCSI or University College of Science & Informatics was established in the year 2011-12 providing educational opportunities at the university level with five faculties / Departments with 8 PG courses.
MGU Facilities
MG University provides various facilities for the students, staff and guests. The list of these facilities is given below.
- Library – The University Library was established in the year 2015. The library shifted to the present building that was inaugurated by Shri. Kadiyam Srihari, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education of Telangana State on February 12, 2017. It holds nearly 39000 books of collection and it subscribed 55 National and International journals. The University Library has the facility of Digital Resource Centre with a capacity of 15 computer networks and Internet facility.
- Hostels and Messes – The three spacious hostels two for men and the other for Women has been constructed and the residential facility has been provided to more than 1200 students in these three hostels.
- Gym – The new Gym facilities have been provided in the Arts college campus.
- Seminar Hall – The university has a total strength of 2000 in all courses put together. It is frequently conducting faculty wise seminars, the student meets, placement programs and other curricular & co-curricular activities to have a busy academic atmosphere on the campus. The seminar hall accommodates 1000 audience at a time.
- Conference Hall – The university is frequently conducting faculty meetings departmental meetings and other programmes. In this connection, the conference hall accommodates 100 audiences at a time, so that the conferences, the staff meets, and other activities can be organized on the campus without much difficulty.
- Health Centre – Health care facilities are made available to all the students and staff on the campus by starting Health centre with one lady doctor. Specialist doctors from Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospitals are made available for attending Medical emergencies. Medicines are available in the health centre for the students and staff.
