National Sports University

National Sports University is a sports university in Manipur, India. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stone for the University’s proposed 325-acre campus at Imphal West, on March 16, 2018. India has some state universities focusing on sports education but it is first Central University in India focusing on Sports Education. The University has four schools – School of Sports Science and Sports Medicine, School of Sports Management and Technology, School of Sports Education, and School of Interdisciplinary Studies. The University also offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes. It will also function as the national training centre for selected sports disciplines by adopting the best international practices by signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with international universities.
