The admissions to the undergraduate programme (B.Tech.) in various fields are held through All India Engineering Entrance Examination (A.I.E.E.E) conducted by C.B.S.E.The candidates who have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply. Those appearing in 10+2 are also eligible to apply. Applicants are required to appear in A.I.E.E.E. A merit list is prepared on the basis of their performance in A.I.E.E.E. and seats are allotted according to their rank. Seats are reserved as per the rules.

This program is offered by Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Admission to MCA programme of NIT C will be made on the basis of result of NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test).

3. Master of Business Administration (MBA).
The intake for MBA for the year 2011-13 is 30. Reservation to OBS,SC,ST and differently-abled (DA) candidates are as per the norms of the Ministry Of Human Resource Development(MHRD), Government Of India.

4. Master of Science (M.Sc.)
The six semester (three year) M.Sc.(Tech) programmes based on the credit system comprises of several core and elective courses and project work.

PhD Program
Ph.D. Programmes of the Institute are structured around certain minimum number of theory courses, which have to be passed by the scholars, a comprehensive viva-voce examination, a pre-Ph.D. examination and a Thesis work, which will be examined by a Thesis Board and an Oral Board.
Only on the basis of the successful completion of all the Graduation Requirements, a scholar will be awarded Ph.D. degree by the Board of Governors of the Institute based on the recommendation of the Senate.

PGDCM- PG Diploma in Construction Management

The Program duration is two semester of course work (offered in NIT Campus) and one semester of project and follows credit system. Each semester is of approximately of 4months duration with suitable breaks in accordance to Institute rules.
Semesters 1 and 2 are devoted to classroom learning, acquiring hands-on experience in latest software in Construction Management, and learning research techniques and presentation skills. The course is offered as a self supporting one on a part-time schedule with the primary target group as working professionals.
The classes for course work are on three alternative days in a week (viz. 3 hours on Tuesday, 3 hours on Thursday and 6 hours on Saturday).
