Bangalore University was established in July 1964. It is located in the Garden City of Bangalore, India. The University offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and Integrated PG courses, PG Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate courses. Academically, the University is structured into six faculties- Arts, Science, Commerce & Management, Education, Law, and Engineering. Bangalore University
At present, the University offers 50 Post Graduate Courses and Employment Oriented Diploma and Certificate Courses. The University has launched the Five years Integrated Courses in Biological Sciences. Initially, the two premier colleges of the city, the Central College (CC) and the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) formed the nucleus of Bangalore University. Bangalore University Admission Process
Admission to Bangalore University is based on marks obtained in the merit of the qualifying examination. Application forms for admission are made available online at the official website. Interested students can apply online. It is advised to fill and submit the application forms on or before the last date. along with the application form, students need to pay the application also. For PhD courses, admission is based on marks obtained in the entrance examination.

Bangalore University Centres
The University has four centres. The list for the same is given below.
- Braille Resource Centre – Bangalore University set up a Braille Resource Centre at its Central College Campus in February 2012. Presently, the centre is the epicentre for 180 visually impaired students from 36 colleges and 7 PG Centres.
- Centre for Ambedkar Studies – Babasheeb Dr B. Ambedkar Studies and Research Centre was established in 1998 with funding from the Government of Karnataka. The centre is the first of its kind in a university to construct a memorial architecture-type building in Karnataka State by investing about Rs 80 lakhs.
- Centre for Gandhian Studies – The foundation stone of the Centre for Gandhian Studies of Bangalore University was laid by the President of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on December 08, 1965. The present building was formally dedicated on October 02, 1969.
- Centre for Yoga Studies – The Bangalore University Yoga Centre came into existence on January 12, 1995. Dr N R Shetty (Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor) and Dr H R Nagendra (Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SVYASA) were behind the establishment of the Yoga Centre.
