A student shall be declared as pass if he/she secure minimum or more than the qualifying marks. It is important to pass in both theory and practical paper separately. Students appeared for the exam shall be promoted to the next higher semester as per the promotion regulations. Revaluation of Answer Script
University allows the student to apply online for the revaluation of the answer script within the time limit. Students can apply for the challenge valuation only after the declaration of the result. Students have to visit the BCU website and log in on student portal by using a mobile number and password. After that, the revaluation menu will open and students have to enter the details there.
Candidate must note that those who have secured 15% of maximum marks or more in each paper only are eligible to apply for revaluation by paying the prescribed fees. There will be no provision for revaluation for Open Elective Subject (only Theory papers). Fees once paid for the revaluation will not be refunded or adjusted for future examination. The fee structure for revaluation for UG and PG courses will be different.

Bengaluru Central University (BCU) is a state university and it was started in the year 1858 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. BCU inherits the legacy of the 160-year-old of the central college campus. The university is governed by Statutes, Ordinances, Rules, and Regulations. BCU offers Centre for Global Studies, UG courses, PG courses, and PhD courses also.
The University follow Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for UG courses. English and Kannada departments were established early on at the Central College. Mathematics began to be taught in an organized manner from 1870 onwards. The Physics department was founded in 1882. Chemistry, which was being taught as a minor discipline got its own department in 1913. Zoology and Botany were organized into two separate departments in 1908 and 1919 respectively.
