The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) was established by an Act of Parliament as a new Central University and is fully funded by the Government of India. The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is located in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. The Central University of Rajasthan offers 54 UG, PG, Intergrated PG and Ph.D. programmes in its 32 departments. The University operates from its permanent campus of 550 (approx.) acres and it has adequate hostels housing nearly 2000 students in the campus. Also, the university admits the students to integrated M.Sc., integrated M.Sc.-B.Ed., and PG Programmes through the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) held yearly across India. A Union University or Central University in India is established by the Department of Higher Education, normally by Act of Parliament, unlike most universities which are established by state governments. The mission of the Central University of Rajasthan is to contribute to and work with a sense of commitment towards the educational, cultural, economic, environmental, health and social advancement of the region and the nation at large by providing excellent undergraduate liberal education and quality programs leading to bachelors, masters, professional and doctorate degrees.
