DU SOL
The School of Open Learning, University of Delhi is a well known and renowned name in the field of distance education. Earlier known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, it was established in the year 1962. The school provides various UG and PG courses in the disciplines of humanities and commerce. DU SOL functions with the motto of Nishtha Dhryti: Satya. The degree obtained from the School of Open Learning holds the same value as that of a regular degree. DU SOL also has a South Study Center, which is situated at South Moti Bagh, New Delhi.
At the time of its inception, the school had only 900 students. However, currently, around 5 lakh students are enrolled in various postgraduate and undergraduate programmes offered by the school. DU SOL has had a number of influential people as its students including Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India and Smriti Irani, Information and Broadcasting Minister, Govt. of India.
