Satavahana University was established in 2008 and located in Karimnagar, Godavarikhani, Telangana. Satavahana University has its roots in the erstwhile Post Graduate Centre of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities. Later in 2008, the Post Graduate centre was upgraded as Satavahana University. The university is named after the Satavahana dynasty that ruled this place. Satavahana University is laid in 200 acres. The University started to function from the main campus in September 2012. Satavahana University offers UG, PG, and Professional programme through its colleges called the University of College and University PG college. Presently the University has 9 faculties and offers all major courses of Science, Oriental Languages, Law, Commerce a& Management, Arts and Social Sciences.
