Anna University – was established on September 4, 1978, as a unitary type of University. It is a state university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The University got its name after the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Late Dr C.N. Annadurai. Anna University is a leading in India. The University offers Bachelors, Masters and PhD programmes in various disciplines of Science, Architecture, Engineering and Technology. Anna University was established by bringing together and integrating four well known technical institutions in the city of Madras (now Chennai) namely, College of Engineering (CEG), Madras Institute of Technology, School of Architecture & Planning, and Alagappa College of Technology.
