GD, PI Preparations: I prepared the basic questions asked in a Personal Interview like

• What are your interests?

• What are your goals?

• About myself!

• About company’s profile!

Eligibility criteria and students appeared: Cutoff percentage was 65% in btech with no backlogs. 435 students appeared for it.
The Written round: It had aptitude questions.

Logical Ability Test: 30 ques, 40 mins.

• 5 ques fig. based

• 5 ques data sufficiency

• 5 ques data interepretation: dual bar graph was given for imports n production for different years( rs in thousand crores vs. year)

Questions were simple like ratio of imports to production for a particular year, percentage increase in exports from 98 to 2000, avg. production in 5 yrs!

5 ques on rows like

Ram is 12th from left and 13th from right in a queue of boys. What are the total no. of boys standing in the queue?

and rest were similar ques, as simple as this one!

5 ques on syllogism

5 ques on puzzle. A passage was given, we have to understand that passage and answer the ques based on it.

Examples given in sample paper.

Verbal Ability Test: 40 ques, 30 mins

(speed should be good)

10 ques on passage, 2 passages, 5 ques on each passage.

Ques like what does the author want to convey?, what does this phrase “”xyz”” stands for in the passage?, the suitable title for the passage?

8 ques on sentence correction. A small sentence is given with grammatical, punctuation errors, we have to chose correct alternative from given options.

8 ques, where a paragraph is given with an underlined sentence, we have to chose correct alternative for that sentence. It may have grammatical errors, or it might be framed incorrectly acc. to the passage.

7 ques on fill in the blanks. a long sentence is given, we have to fill in correct option in the blank. Sometimes the options are idioms also.

7 ques on summary. a small para is given. And you may be asked what can be inferred from the passage?, what assumptions does author make?, what conclusions can be drawn?

The Interview: Mainly HR qs.

• How do you plan your day?

• What coordination activities you performed?

• What are your interests?

• Who is your role model and why?

• What was your role in the project?

• Top IT companies in India?

• Questions for the interviewer!!

Role of Internships and extracurricular activities: Role of internships: No role really.

Role of extra currics: They do play an important role, but not more than 5-10 percent. In all interviewer checks your smartness, your presence of mind, your fluency over english language, your presentation, your technical knowledge, your attitude, you truthfulness to your resume!
