Himachal Pradesh Technical University, simply called HIMTU or HPTU, is a state university located in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India and established in 2011. Admission Process in Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU)

Admission to Himachal Pradesh Technical University is based on marks obtained in the National Level Test/Qualifying Examination/HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test). Applicants need to fill out the online admission form which is available online at the official website. Before filling out the admission form, students need to check the eligibility and admission criteria. If any candidate is not eligible, then he/she will not be allowed counselling. Candidates who have qualified for the HPCET can come directly for counselling.

And those who obtained minimum cutoff marks in the National Level Test/qualifying Examination are required to pay a non-refundable application processing fee. After the exam, counselling starts. A candidate must be present in person at the time of counselling and should immediately report to the Admission Selection Committee on calling. The applicant present during the counselling will be allowed to choose from the seats available at his/ her turn. The syllabus for the HPCET entrance examination is available online.
