Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed. Jamia Hamdard is is an institute of higher education Deemed to be University established in 1989. It is located in New Delhi. The University is known for its pharmacy programme. The University offers various graduate programmes in IT & CA, and postgraduate programme in Information Technology, Computer Application, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Bussiness Management. Few undergraduate programmes in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy are being introduced from this year.
