Kumaun University was established on December 01, 1973. It is a residential-cum-affiliating University located in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. The University offers various Under Graduate, Post Graduate, PG Diploma Programme and research Programmes. There are ten faculties namely Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Technology, Visual Art, Law, Agriculture and Bio medical Science. The University Grants Commission (UGC) granted full recognition to Kumaun University on June 30, 1984. Kumaun University is a permanent member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
