North Maharashtra University (NMU) established on 15 August 1990 under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989. The University is located in Jalgaon. NMU started it academic and administrative functioning from 1991-92. The University has opened it’s doors of higher education to mostly “first generation learners” of this area.
