U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) was established under Act No. 10/1999 passed by U.P.Legislature and assented to by the governor of U.P. The University was established on March 24, 1999. UPRTOU is situated in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The University is the only Open and Distance learning university in Uttar Pradesh. UPRTSOU was established with the mission and vision of making education available for everyone and providing opportunities for higher education to the weaker sections.
