Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) – was established under the provision of the KKHSOU, Act 2005 enacted by the Govt. of Assam & published in the Assam Gazette(extraordinary). The University was established to provide quality higher education through open and distance learning. The University has been recognized by Former Distance Education Council, University Grant Commission. The University is the only state open university in North East, India. The University was established with the aim of developing and providing easily accessible modes of quality higher education and training with the help of latest educational inputs and technology.
