Thiruvalluvar University was established in October 2002 in the Vellore district of Tamil Nadu by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It was named after the great Tamil Saint poet ‘Thiruvalluvar’. The University offers PG, UG, PG Diploma, Intergrated, Ph.D. courses under 13 University Teaching Departments. Currently, there are 13 departments namely Tamil, English, Economics, Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Commerce, Physics, Bio-Technology, Sociology, Microbiology, Environmental Science and 80 colleges affiliated to the University. Thiruvalluvar University Admission Process
Admission in Thiruvalluvar University is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and even in the entrance examination. Application forms are available online at the official website. Students have to fill and submit the application forms on or before the last date. For admission in M.Phil. courses, the selection is based on an equal weighting of the percentage of PG marks and entrance exams. After the submission of the application form and entrance exam, applicants will be called for counselling process.
