If a student cannot appear end-semester examination due to low attendance, he/she will be allowed to attend in the next semester classes with prior permission from Registrar/Academic Registrar with intimation to Controller of Examinations & Head of the Department. Rechecking of Theory Answer Scripts
The University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya allows the students to apply for the rechecking of the answer scripts of theory paper only. If any student is not satisfied with the marks can apply for the same. Interested students can take the rechecking form from the Concerned Block Officer. Students must fill the rechecking form and submit it along with the documents & rechecking fees to the Accounts section. No applications shall be accepted thereafter under any circumstances.
USTM Repeat, Improvement and Special Examination
Repeat paper(s): If a sudent fail to clear the paper (s) will however be allowed to continue the studies in subsequent semester. The student is allowed to clear the paper by appearing repeat exam which will be conducted with the next regular batch of that semester.
Improvement of Papers: A student can apply a maximum of 3 paper for improvement after the final semester result. Improvement is permissible for theory paper only. Best marks of two examinations shall be considered for finalization of results.
Speicial Examination: The University conducts the special examinatio after the declaration of result of final semester exaination in July/August. Students appeared in the final semester who got academic probation (AP) in any course of any semester can appear for special exam.
Re-appear Examinations
USTM allows the students of PG and UG courses to apply for the re-appear examination. The re-appear examination forms shall be issued by the Concerned Block Officer. Students must fill and submit the re-appear exam form in the prescribed format along with the requisite fees on or before the last date. After the last date, no applications shall be accepted under any circumstances.
